Weekend Residential Boarding Team Member

We require a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our established boarding team for this exciting new post. The role will consist of a number of duties during the weekend which are highlighted below.

Ideally, to work Friday from 4.00pm until Sunday 6.30pm. This will entail approximately 25-30 hours and sleeping in both Friday and Saturday nights. There will be appropriate, allotted time off during the weekend.

You will be working with children of all ages (11-18), predominantly boys but with some responsibility for girls as well. This will include checking the welfare of the boarders in your charge and ensuring that they follow the house rules (bedtimes, etc.)

The ability to drive a minibus is desirable but not essential, and the flexibility to accompany boarders on trips is also expected.

This is a salaried position and as a boarding school you will be working for approximately 36 weekends per year. The salary can be discussed and will be dependent on the hours worked.

We remain flexible for the right candidate and are willing to negotiate the terms of your employment.

Due to the fact that you will be working with children, you will need to pass an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing your role.

Weekend Cook

Fyling Hall is looking to appoint a weekend cook ideally for the start of the Summer Term. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a busy catering environment and be able to work as part of a team. 

The successful candidate will be required to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday (9:00 – 18:30) during term time. On Friday the position will involve assisting the kitchen in the preparation and serving of our fresh food, as well as with washing up and cleaning. On weekends the successful candidate will be solely responsible for the preparation and serving of the menu for the boarding community. 

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, all successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS application, provide two references and have the right to work in the UK.
