During the course of any term, we organise many excursions, some large for all pupils, others smaller to cater for particular interests.
At a general level, there are cultural visits to theatres, especially the Stephen Joseph in Scarborough, cinemas, historic sites and museums, while sports and riding enthusiasts get the chance to attend big fixtures.
We also arrange purely social outings, such as shopping expeditions for boarders, and celebratory dinners for our sports teams.
Whitby is popular with one and all as an occasional weekend destination for the excellence of its fish and chips!
More demanding for participants are the field trips for geographers, and Outward Bound and camping expeditions. In addition, the school offers excursions abroad during the holidays. The Easter vacation regularly includes a school skiing trip.
