Investigating graphs

Fyling Hall’s Year 10s are investigating graphs through the web-based tool, Desmos. This graphics calculator allows students to analyse and solve complex problems. They are also able to check results, visualise solutions and present functions graphically. With Desmos’ objective of spreading the joy of maths, our pupils spent less time thinking about technology and more time investigating graphs and thinking about maths! Surpassing national GCSE results

Fyling Hall School is thrilled to announce 94% of our eligible pupils achieved a pass grade in 5 GCSEs including maths and English, far surpassing the national of 67.3% (reports Sky News). 31% received an A/7 or above, again outperforming the national average of 20.8%.  What’s more, of all exams sat 87% of Fyling Hall pupils achieved a pass.
