Mathematicians from Years 5 and 6 recently took part in the second Primary Mathematics Challenge to be held at Fyling Hall School. The children sat a paper set by The Mathematical Association, answering 25 fiendishly difficult questions in 45 minutes. They all did brilliantly, and scored highly enough to be awarded certificates as follows:
Gold Award – Tomas Richardson
Silver Award – Calli Walsh, James Brine, Ewan Wormald
Bronze Awards – Ruby Wormald, Ali Elhawary, Josh Buckle and Toby Richardson
The certificates, awarded by The Mathematical Association, were presented to the children in assembly. Well done to everyone who took part!
